Nordic noir has gone from being a particular phenomenon to one of the biggest genres in contemporary fiction. Its literature, films and series share an imagery with a distinct character, but they are also full of universal topics that have made an international success out of many of its works.
‘Valkyrien’ is Norway’s last submission to this genre, and it’s loaded with characters at the edge of morals and a complex and dark plot. A doctor who is obsessed with finding a cure to his wife’s illness and an eerie stranger who is in charge of maintenance at an old subterranean shelter in Oslo make a deal to create an illegal clinic that offers service to those who can’t attend regular sanitary facilities.
Serielizados Fest will screen the pilot of Vakyrien, with an introduction by Eric Vogel, producer of the series, accompanied by Lorenzo Mejino.
