The web series world has always awaken, in Spain, a direct connection between creators and their audience that, despite its advantages, leaves this fresh format out of basic distribution and funding circles (and, consequently, also out of great consumer masses and critic recognition). But this has now changed.
The arrival of ‘Paquita Salas’ to Flooxer has supposed a revolution because it has reverted the usual roles, making press and critics follow a product after its massive success in social media. Not even the trend it generated could have led to foresee its unprecedented triumph at the Feroz awards, where it won best comedy series, best actor (Brays Efe) and best supporting actress (Belén Cuesta).
The creators of the web series, Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, and its lead character, Brays Efe, will come to Serielizados Fest to discuss with Alberto Rey the internet success of ‘Paquita Salas’, and to present a screening of the first episode of the everyday adventures of this fascinating actors manager.
